Sauerkraut Salad

This has been a much coveted recipe that was my Mothers. She was a wonderful cook:)

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    vinegar
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 1 qt
    or large can kraut
  • 2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onions
  • green pepper or pimento for color

How To Make

  • 1
    Scald Kraut and let stand 1/2 hour, drain well..
  • 2
    Combine vinegar, sugar bring to a boil. Mix all ingredients together and let stand covered over night for best flavor.
