Ingredients For russian winter salad

  • 1 pkg
    frozen lima beans (10oz)
  • 1 pkg
    frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 can
    sliced beets, drained, diced into cubes
  • 8 oz
    sour cream
  • 1 lg
    sweet onion, diced
  • 1
    cucumber, seeded, diced
  • minced parsley
  • sliced green onion
  • garlic powder, salt, pepper to taste

How To Make russian winter salad

  • 1
    Saute onion in butter until transparent; remove from pan. Add peas, carrots, limas to remaining butter and cook until thawed and just softened.

    Return onion to pan to mix, then place in bowl. Add beets and sour cream. Toss with parsley, green onion, cukes, and seasonings to taste.

    Serve at room temperature.
