I have had this when the church has a pot luck dinner. It is one of my favorites.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 package chicken flavored ramen noodles, seasoning packet reserved
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 medium head of cabbage
  • 5 - green onions, chopped

How To Make ramen coleslaw

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step 2
    Crush ramen noodles.
  • Step 3
    In a medium bowl, whisk together the oil, vinegar, sugar, ramen noodle spice mix, salt and pepper to make dressing.
  • Step 4
    Place sesame seeds and almonds in a single layer on a medium baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
  • Step 5
    In a large salad bowl, combine cabbage, green onions, and noodles. Pour dressing over salad and toss to coat evenly. Top with toasted sesame seeds and almonds.
