Add whatever herbs you like. I like thyme with beans. For one can of mixed beans I add about a tablespoon of chopped onion and a couple of tablespoons of diced celery. A couple of tablespoons of chopped red pepper adds nice colour and crunch.

  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar or white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup salad oil or olive oil
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • MAKES ENOUGH TO DRESS A CAN OF MIXED BEANS PLUS SOME VEGETABLES.

    Put all ingredients into a shaker or jar with a lid and shake to combine.
