- 4 cups frozen peas, thawed (about 16 oz)
- 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup minced water chestnuts, optional
- 1/3 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup mayo
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 - 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
How To Make pea salad with bacon

Step 1Combine peas, cheese, water chestnuts, and onion in a large bowl.

Step 2In another bowl, combine sour cream, mayo, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Step 3Pour over pea mix and combine thoroughly.

Step 4Refrigerate, covered, at least 30 minutes. Stir in bacon before serving.
