Ingredients For pea salad with bacon

  • 4 c
    frozen peas, thawed (about 16 oz)
  • 1/2 c
    shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 c
    minced water chestnuts, optional
  • 1/3 c
    finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/3 c
    mayo
  • 1 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 6 - 8 slice
    bacon, cooked and crumbled

How To Make pea salad with bacon

    Combine peas, cheese, water chestnuts, and onion in a large bowl.

    In another bowl, combine sour cream, mayo, sugar, salt, and pepper.

    Pour over pea mix and combine thoroughly.

    Refrigerate, covered, at least 30 minutes. Stir in bacon before serving.
