oriental slaw
I take this to summer pitch-ins for something different. It is a fun twist on slaw and the ramen noodles and almonds provide a great texture against the cabbage.

Ingredients
- 1 pound cabbage, shredded
- 2 packages ramen noodles
- 1 package almonds, slivered (2 ounces)
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 cup oil
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 - green onions, chopped
How To Make oriental slaw

Step 1Remove seasoning packets from ramen noodles and set aside.

Step 2Crumble ramen noodles.

Step 3In a skillet, over medium heat, cook noodles and almonds in butter until lightly browned. Set aside.

Step 4Combine vinegar, oil, sugar, soy sauce, and season packets from ramen noodles in a jar. Close, shake well, then refrigerate.

Step 5Immediately before serving, toss together noodle mixture, dressing, onions and cabbage.
