I bet most of you have this recipe somewhere. However, just a few ideas to make it your own. For those of you new to this cooking thing you will love this wonderful salad. It calls for 1/2 a cup of Sunflower seeds in the recipe. Please, Please note...these are NOT the black and white sunflower seeds like the birds are eating out of the birdfeeder. You purchase the INSIDES of the seeds at a grocery store. I wish I could tell you how I learned this but there's just not enough room. Let's just say my family has been real troopers during my "training" years in the kitchen.

  1. Add all salad ingredients together in large bowl.
In saucepan, heat up sugar oil seasoninng packet and vinegar. Whisk while heating until blended. Cool. Pour over salad, toss and chill 1 hour.
NOTE: The dressing will "wilt" the salad just a little so don't make this a day ahead. Make it a couple hours before serving.
