How to Make NC Coleslaw
- In a large mixing bowl, add grated cabbage.
- Combine vinegar, sugar, tomato puree, salt, and pepper into a small bowl.
- Add vinegar mixture to cabbage and toss until well-blended. (The mixture may look dry at first, but there's plenty of liquid to moisten cabbage thoroughly if you keep tossing.
- Refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
