apple cider vinegar
1/2 c
sugar
1/2 c
tomato puree
2 tsp
salt
2 tsp
pepper

cabbage head, grated

How to Make NC Coleslaw

Step-by-Step

  • 1In a large mixing bowl, add grated cabbage.
  • 2Combine vinegar, sugar, tomato puree, salt, and pepper into a small bowl.
  • 3Add vinegar mixture to cabbage and toss until well-blended. (The mixture may look dry at first, but there's plenty of liquid to moisten cabbage thoroughly if you keep tossing.
  • 4Refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
