This mixture is oh so good in the summer and I have a grandson that actually loves to drink the liquid from it.

Ingredients For my pepper slaw

  • 1 lg
    cabbage shredded
  • 1 lg
    green pepper chopped
  • 1 md
    onion copped
  • 1 jar
    chopped pimentoes drained
  • 2/3 c
    canola oil
  • 1 Tbsp
    celery seed
  • 1 tsp
    mustard seed
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    boiling water
  • 1 c
    vinegar
  • 1 c
    sugar

How To Make my pepper slaw

    Place cabbage in a large bowl, sprinkle with salt and pour the water over and let stand for 1 hour then drain
  • 2
    Add the pepper, onion, pimentos, celery seed and the mustard seed.

    Pour oil over and stir to coat. Then place mixture in a large jar.

    Boil vinegar and sugar until sugar is dissolved, then pour over the mixture. Place lid on the jar and refrigerate over night.
