my grandma lula's 1919 whipped cream slaw
GROWING UP THIS WAS ON THE TABLE A LOT. I ALWAYS THOUGHT IT WAS BETTER THAN ANY OTHER SLAW I'D EATEN. YES...I DO MAKE IT NOW. WITH ALL THE KIDDO'S GONE FROM HOME AND LIVING IN OTHER STATES, THERE IS JUST THE '2' OF US AT HOME NOW....SO YOU'LL NEED TO DOUBLE OR TRIPLE THIS FOR MORE PEOPLE. I'M POSTING THE RECIPE JUST AS SHE GAVE IT TO ME. SHE PASSED AWAY IN THE EARLY 1980'S. NOT SURE WHY SHE NAMED IT 'LULA'S 1919 WHIPPED CREAM SLAW'...UNLESS THAT'S WHEN SHE MADE IT UP(???). CinStraw P.S. there is a photo of me w/Grandma Lula in 1979, and my attempt making her slaw, and others pix
