Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 3/4 cups cidar vinegar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 small head of cauliflower, broken into florets
  • 3 medium carrots, grated
  • 2 - celery ribs, thinly sliced
  • 1 - green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can (15 1/4oz.) white shoepeg corn, drained
  • 1 can (14 1/2oz.) french cut green beans, drained
  • 1 can (14oz.) bean sprouts, drained
  • 1 can (4 1/2oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 can (8oz.) water chestnuts, drained and halved

How To Make marinated vegetable salad

  • Step 1
    in sauce pan, combine sugar, vinegar, oil, and salt. bring to a boil. remove from heat; cool to room temperture.
  • Step 2
    in a large bowl combine the remaining ingredients. add dressing; toss to coat. cover and chill for at least 2 hours. serve with a slotted spoon.
