    vegetable oil

    head of cauliflower, broken into florets
  • 3 medium
    carrots, grated
  • 2
    celery ribs, thinly sliced
  • 1
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1 can(s)
    (15 1/4oz.) white shoepeg corn, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    (14 1/2oz.) french cut green beans, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    (14oz.) bean sprouts, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    (4 1/2oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 can(s)
    (8oz.) water chestnuts, drained and halved

How to Make Marinated Vegetable Salad


  1. in sauce pan, combine sugar, vinegar, oil, and salt. bring to a boil. remove from heat; cool to room temperture.
  2. in a large bowl combine the remaining ingredients. add dressing; toss to coat. cover and chill for at least 2 hours. serve with a slotted spoon.
