Many years ago, someone in the family collected recipes from descendants of my great grandparents, William M. and Florence E. (Snodgrass) Whaley and had them compiled into a cookbook. I am posting those recipes here so that they will not be lost. This recipe was submitted by my mother's cousin Effie Moody.

Ingredients

How to Make Make Ahead Slaw

Step-by-Step

  1. Shred cabbage and chop onions.
  2. Sprinkle with sugar; do not stir.
  3. Mix remainder of ingredients. Pour over cabbage mixture.
  4. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 hours. Keeps for 3 to 4 weeks.
