How to Make Japanese Cucumber Salad
- 1Peel cucumbers to leave alternating green stripes.Slice the cucumbers in half lengthwise;scrape the seeds out with a spoon.
- 2Using a knife, cut into very thin slices. While you are doing this you can toast your sesame seeds in a dry nonstick pan, stirring frequently until fragrant and golden. Set aside to cool.
- 3Combine sugar, salt, rice vinegar in medium bowl stirring to dissolve.
- 4Add cucumbers and sesame seeds to your rice vinegar mixture;tossing to coat. Serve immediately
