Ingredients For gorganzola pear salad

  • FOR THE VINAIGRETTE
  • 1/3 c
    olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp
    red wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp
    white sugar
  • 1 tsp
    whole grain mustard
  • 1 clove
    garlic minced
  • salt & pepper
  • FOR THE PECANS
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 c
    pecans
  • FOR THE SALAD
  • 1
    head leaf lettuce torn into pieces
  • 2 lg
    pears peeled and sliced
  • 5 oz
    gorganzola cheese crumbled
  • 1/2 c
    scallions finely diced
  • 1
    avocado peeled pitted and diced

How To Make gorganzola pear salad

    For the vinaigrette Mix all ingredients together in a jar and set aside in fridge.

    For the pecans Place the pecans and sugar in a saucepan over med high heat. Cook until sugar has melted stirring constantly. Lay out on wax paper to cool. Do not put on paper towels it will stick.

    To complete the dish. Layer the lettuce first, then cheese, then green onions. pears and avocado. Pour dressing over salad and sprinkle with pecans.
