I found this in a book of salads from 1978 , I have not tried it but it sounds interesting. ***untried recipe***

Ingredients

1/2 pound cream cheese, room temperature
1 cup mayonnaise
1 teaspoon tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 cup cream , whipped
2 cups crab meat
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup grated carrots
1 tablespoon chopped onions
- lettuce leaves

How To Make frozen crab salad

Step 1

Blend cream cheese and mayonnaise , tabasco , and salt together.

Step 2

Fold in the whipped cream.
Step 3

Blend in crab , celery , green pepper , carrots and onion.
Step 4

Pour into two freezer trays ; freeze until solid ; about 6-8 hours.
Step 5

Remove from the freezer and let stand at room temperature for about 15 minutes before slicing ; Serve on lettuce leaves.
