Ingredients
- 1 - medium to large head of cabbage, shredded
- 1 - large carrot, grated
- 1 - green pepper, chopped
- 1 - small onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- SYRUP: MIX THE NEXT FIVE INGREDIENTS IN A SAUCEPAN AND BOIL FOR ONE MINUTE
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup vinegar, white is best
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 teaspoon mustard seed
How To Make freezer coleslaw

Step 1Mix the first five ingredients together in a very large bowl. Let stand at room temperature for one hour.

Step 2Cool the syrup to room temperature. Pour the syrup over the cabbage mixture in bowl and mix well. Put into the size freezer containers you want for serving. FREEZE.

Step 3To serve, thaw 45 minutes at room temperature. Best with a LITTLE frozen ice in it at serving time.

Step 4This is very sweet but is delicious and good served fresh too. Two bags of store bought shredded cabbage with carrot is fine. Will keep in the freezer for many months.
