english pea salad

This is one that my Mama regularly served with Sunday roast beef, rice and gravy. You can add or delete anything you like and it's still a colorful, delicious salad!

Ingredients

  • 1 15 oz. cans green peas, drained
  • 2 or 3 - hard boiled eggs
  • 1 sm. jar pimiento, diced
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (i use grated)
  • 1 teaspoon chives, dried
  • 1/3 cup miracle whip salad dressing
  • - - salt & pepper to taste

How To Make english pea salad

  • Step 1
    Boil eggs and cool; peel, slice and set aside.
  • Step 2
    Drain peas* and combine in bowl with the rest of the ingredients. Add eggs and stir well.
  • Step 3
    Chill and serve.
  • Step 4
    *Frozen peas, cooked, drained and chilled, may be substituted for canned.
