How to Make Cucumbers and Onions


  1. Sprinkle sliced cucumbers with salt. Let stand 30 minutes, then lightly squeeze and drain water from cucumbers.
  2. After draining water from cucumbers, place cucumbers and sliced onions in a large bowl.
  3. In a medium saucepan, bring water, vinegar, sugar and celery seed to a boil.
    Pour mixture over cucumbers and onion.
    Refrigerate until chilled or overnight.
