crunchy cabbage salad
I have had salad like this before. It is delicious and gets better with time on a buffet. Had to claim this orphan recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 package chicken ramen noodles
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 5 cups shredded green cabbage
- 3/4 cup chopped green bell pepper
- 3/4 cup chopped sweet red cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 3/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
How To Make crunchy cabbage salad

Step 1Break noodles, set aside, in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Step 2Combine the oil, vinegar, sugar, oregano, salt, pepper and half of the contents from the noodle seasoning packet, shake well.

Step 3(Discard remaining seasoning or save for another use.)

Step 4In a large bowl, combine the vegetables and almonds.

Step 5When ready to serve add noodles and dressing and toss to coat.

Step 6Yield 10-12 servings. ENJOY!
