- 1 large english cucumber
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 - red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
How To Make creamed cucumber salad

Step 1Thinly slice cucumbers. Put the cucumbers in colander in sink. Sprinkle with one tablespoon of salt and gently toss. Let the cucumbers sit in colander for at least an hour or more to remove excess moisture from cucumber (longer if you have time)

Step 2Rinse cucumbers when ready to use and pat dry with paper towel to remove excess water. This will help to keep your salad from getting too runny.

Step 3In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, sugar, mayonnaise, vinegar, and black pepper. Stir well. Toss in cucumbers and onion. Stir to coat thoroughly. cover bowl and put into refrigerator. chill at least one hour before serving. Gently stir before serving.
