my mother made this often as i was growing up. she had 10 children and we grew our own vegetables. this was a favorite of ours in the summertime. it is so good served cold! i hope everyoe enjoys this delicious recipe as much as i have over the years. my boys love it.

Ingredients
- 1 medium pan of cornbread/your favorite recipe or cornbread mix
- 3 medium tomatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup diced red pepper
- 1/2 cup diced green pepper
- 1/2 cup finely chopped chives
- 1/3 cup bacon bits, fresh ones is best
- 1 1/3 cups mayonnaise
- 1/4 teaspoon mrs. dash seasoning
How To Make cornbread salad

Step 1bake cornbread as directed. allow to cool completely.

Step 2crumble cornbread in a large mixing bowl. add remaining ingredients. set aside fresh bacon bits. mix throughly. allow to chill in fridge until chilled. add hot bacon bits when served. enjoy!
