This recipe is from my mom. It stores in the refrigerator for quite awhile. Each year, I prepare the backstage food for a local Blues Music festival. The artist I have served have raved about the fact that my slaw is not mayonnaise based. Hope you enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1 cup salad oil
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
How To Make cole slaw dressing

Step 1Add all ingredients to a quart jar. Mix well. Store in refrigerator. Shake well before using.

Step 2To prepare slaw: Combine shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, diced bell pepper and grated onion. Add a small amount of dressing.

Step 3DO NOT SATURATE! The slaw will create its own juices. SUBSTITUTIONS: I like to use part balsamic vinegar You can use the prepared slaw mix in the produce dept.
