another recipe that I got from a family reunion and it has become a favorite.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 - head cabbage, shredded
  • 1 - green pepper, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 - carrot, shredded

How To Make cold slaw that keeps

  • Step 1
    Mix the first four ingredients in pan and bring to boil for 1 minute. Pour over cabbage/veggie mix immediately.
  • Step 2
    To save time, I will use prepared slaw mix from the store. This slaw keeps very well so is easy to make ahead of time for taking to pot luck, etc.
