A friend's mom had this recipe written down on a recipe card - so it's really old! And it is also very, very good!

Ingredients
- DRESSING:
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- SALAD:
- 4 cups broccoli tips (florets)
- 1/2 cup red grapes (or raisins)
- 1/2 cup red onion sliced or chopped
- 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- sunflower seeds or pecan pieces
How To Make cathy's mom's broccoli salad

Step 1Make Dressing: Combine all ingredients and refrigerate.

Step 2Make Salad: Toss all ingredients except the bacon. Add the dressing and toss to combine, making sure everything is covered with the dressing.

Step 3Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Step 4To serve, toss the salad again. Add the bacon. Toss again. Serve.

Step 5Note: my family likes LOTS of bacon in this. LOL! So we make salad as stated above, but sprinkle more crumbled bacon over the top right before placing the bowl on the buffet table.
