This is an old recipe from my Mom.You can freeze it in containers and use it when you want it I love this cole slaw!!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 pounds cabbage shredded
  • 2/3 cup green pepper..diced small
  • 1/2 cup sweet red pepper..diced small (optional)
  • 1/4 cup onion (diced small)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seed
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • - shredded carrots

How To Make cabbage slaw

  • Step 1
    Heat vinegar,Add sugar & stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved..Cool
  • Step 2
    Mix remaining ingredients;combine thoroughly. Combine with cooled vinegar-sugar mixture. Chill in refrigerator at least 1 hour,more if possible.(longer is better) May be stored in refrigerator several days OR Frozen in portion size amounts.
