This is a traditional dish -- I've just tweaked it a bit to my taste. It is a dish I am asked to bring to family get togethers.

Ingredients

  • 3
    stocks broccoli, cut up (i make it into small pieces)
  • 1 medium
    red onion, diced
  • 1
    red bell pepper, diced
  • ·
    dressing:
  • 1/2 c
    miracle whip
  • 2 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar (some make it sweeter)
  • 1 Tbsp
    jalapeno sauce (or you can use tabasco sauce)
  • ·
    additional ingredients:
  • 1 lb
    bacon, fried, crumbled
  • 1/2 c
    sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 c
    raisins, optional

How to Make Broccoli Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine in a medium bowl all the dressing ingredients.
  2. Combine broccoli, onion and bell pepper into dressing mixture. Chill.
  3. Before serving add crumbled bacon, sunflower seeds and/or raisins.
