This is a salad that gets better the longer it marinades. Its yummy and fresh. Be warned that you might find yourself sneaking some as a snack before you even serve it. I got this recipe from an older German friend when we lived in the DC area and its been a hit for years.

    bunch of fresh broccoli
  • 1/2
    small red onion, chopped
  • 1/4 c
  • 8
    strips of bacon, fried and crumbled

  • 1/2 to 1 c
  • 2 Tbsp
  • 2 Tbsp

How to Make Broccoli Salad


  1. Mix together broccoli, red onion, raisins and bacon.
  2. Make up marinade and pour over vegetable mixture. Mix thoroughly and chill for at least 3 hours.
  3. Note: The longer the vegetables chill with the marinade the tastier the salad is.
