I ate a salad similar to this at one of the potlucks at Monroe Surgical Hospital. I could not find out who brought it, so I just copied the recipe as good as I could remember.

Ingredients
- 8 slices bacon
- 3 bunches green onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup green bell peppers, chopped
- 1 bunch broccoli, broken into florets
- 1/2 cup red grapes, cut into halves
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped fine
- 1/2 cup purple onion, chopped fine
- 3/4 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
How To Make broccoli grape salad

Step 1Place bacon in a large deep skillet. Cook over medium heat until crispy brown. Drain, crumble and set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl, combine broccoli, grapes, onions, celery, and bell pepper.

Step 3Whisk mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, lemon juice, and salt together.

Step 4Toss with broccoli mixture and chill. Just before serving, add the crumbled bacon and toasted pecans.
