Since this was a 5 ingredient challenge, I found this recipe in "500 Fast and Fabulous Five Star Ingredients" cookbook. It was so quick and easy to put together and can look so pretty on the right serving platter.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup half-and-half
- 3/4 teaspoon grated basil, also have some fresh basil rolled and cut into thin strips for garnish.
- 4 large tomatoes, sliced
- 1/2 large red onion, sliced into thin rings, more may be needed
How To Make basil cream tomatoes

Step 1In a cup with a lid, mix together mayonnaise, half-and-half and grated basil. Shake to mix well.

Step 2Cover and refrigerate until serving time.

Step 3Just before serving, arrange the tomatoes and onion on a serving platter. Drizzle with the dressing (after shaking to mix well), and garnish with basil strips.
