mom made this when i was a kid...i've made a few changes to it...this is wonderful on the x-mas dinner table...great color....

  • 1 pkg
    red hot cinnomon candies
  • 2 c
    cold applesauce
  • 1 pkg
    any serves 8 red flavored jello[i use sugar free]
  • 1 c
    chopped mixed nut... what ever you have will work
  • 1 pkg
    8 oz fat free cream cheese
  • ·
    milk... as needed

How to Make red hot applesauce mold


  1. put 1 cup water in small saucepan melt candies... watch close so they don't burn
  2. put jello in lg bowl...add candy mix... stir to disolve jello
  3. add applesauce stir well put in fridge til it starts to set up
  4. add nuts[ i have also added celery,rasins,]... mix well... put in nice mold dish... refrigerate til set
  5. before serving...unmold
  6. mix cream cheese[at room temp] with a few drops of milk... til spreading consistincy... frost mold..
    sprinkle a few nuts on top...
