At every family gathering....this was always the salad. Although she had many, many versions..I wish I had all the different recipes.

Ingredients

  • SALAD:
  • 1 package fat free sugar free jell-o, raspberry (4 serving size)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 can jellied cranberry sauce, cut cup
  • 3/4 cup celery, sliced thin
  • 1/2 cup pecans, in pieces, toasted
  • SAUCE:
  • 1/2 jar mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sugar (or more to taste)
  • - milk, to thin to desired consistancy
  • SERVE ON:
  • - lettuce leaves

How To Make grandma puschak's jell-o salad

  • Step 1
    Mix sauce ingredients together well. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Step 2
    Combine jell-o & boiling water in a glass bowl, stirring until all gelatin is dissolved. Chill until mixture is the consistency of unbeaten egg white (about 45 minutes in refrigerator.) Stir in cranberry sauce, pecans & sliced celery.
  • Step 3
    Spray square glass casserole dish with nonstick spray. Spoon mixture into dish, cover & chill until firm, about 4 hours.
  • Step 4
    Serve as a salad on a bed of lettuce topped with sauce.
