My grandma, Ethel Johnson, made this salad for every one of our family get-togethers. It has a wonderful tangy flavor and light, fluffy texture. I hope others will enjoy it as much as we have!

Ingredients For grandma ethel's pink salad

  • 1 box
    (6 oz.) strawberry jell-o
  • 2 c
    boiling water
  • 1 can
    (12 oz.) frozen lemonade concentrate
  • 1 can
    (15 oz.) sliced peaches, drained and chopped
  • 1 can
    (15 oz,) sliced pears, drained and chopped
  • 1 pkg
    (16 oz.) cool whip, thawed

How To Make grandma ethel's pink salad

    Mix Jell-O and boiling water; stir until dissolved (about 2 minutes). Add frozen lemonade concentrate and stir until melted and well mixed. Refrigerate until slightly thickened.

    Fold in fruit and Cool Whip. Pour into serving dish (Grandma always used a pretty glass bowl, so I do the same) and refrigerate until firm.
