we ate this often as kids,fresh grown from the garden had to call sis to get all that went in dressin beside bacon hubby had it for the first time ever tonight he liked it so do i hope u do too

gonna try and get a better pic next time i make this

  • 2 bunch
    leaf lettuce,one green one redchopped
  • 1/2 stick
  • 1 medium
  • 2 Tbsp
    dried garlic pieces
  • 1 large
    [or several smaller] portabella mushroom,chopped
  • 1 medium
    carrot, shredded
  • 8 oz
    maple bacon,cut in small pieces
  • 1/2 c
    apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp
    chopped parsley
  • 1 Tbsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 Tbsp
  • 1 pt
    cherry tomatoes, 1/2 ved
  • 6 oz
    feta cheese

How to Make wilted lettuce salad


  1. in lg fry pan put butter let melt than add carrot,onion cook and stir for 10 min than add garlic,and mushrooms cook 10 min more remove from pan into small bowl
  2. now take bacon that is cut in small pieces into same fry pan cook and stir til fried crisp
  3. sa veggies and bacon cook, cut all the lrttuce intp lg bowl than cut tomatoes in 1/2 put in small bowl sit aside
  4. once bacon is cooked add vinegat,and next 5 ingredients cook to boil than stirring non stop for 4-5 min reducin vinegar by bout 1/2
  5. now in ig bowl of lettuce add dressing from fry pan then add fet then stir salad well to coat all with dressing then add tomatoes toss lightlya
