Ingredients
- 1 bunch romaine lettuce
- 1 small red onion
- 1 pint strawberries
- DRESSING:
- 3/4 cup best foods or hellmans mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons poppy seeds
- OPTIONAL:
- 1 cup grapes, halved
- 2 tablespoons slivered almonds, to garnish
How To Make strawberry salad with poppyseed dressing

Step 1Make dressing: combine all ingredients. Whisk until well blended. Set aside.

Step 2Wash romaine lettuce, use a salad spinner to dry. Cut into bite sized pieces and add to a salad bowl.

Step 3Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries. Add to the salad bowl. Thinly slice the red onion and separate into rings. Add to the salad bowl. If using the optional grapes, wash and add to the salad bowl.

Step 4Pour dressing over the salad. Toss to coat. Top with the optional slivered almonds, if using. Serve.
