speedy steak salad

I had left-over steak (T-bone too big for two of us to finish)! So threw this together based on my memory of a great "black and blue" salad at a local restaurant!

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces medium rare steak, sliced thinly
  • - garlic salt
  • 4 cups iceberg lettuce, torn into pieces
  • 1/4 cup sweet onion, chopped
  • 2 large mushrooms, sliced (baby bella or button)
  • 2 tablespoons blue cheese crumbles
  • 1/2 - avocado, diced
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegarette dressing
  • - garlic croutons (optional)

How To Make speedy steak salad

  • Step 1
    Warm steak briefly in a hot cast iron pan. Sprinkle with garlic salt.
  • Step 2
    In two large salad bowls, place 1/2 of all the other ingredients
  • Step 3
    If not using croutons, serve with toasted garlic bread.
