Makes an ordinary salad taste so good, none will be left in the bowl

  • 1/4 c
    sesame seeds
  • 1
    iceberg lettuce head
  • 1 c
    baby spinach
  • 1 pkg
    good seasonings italian dressing
  • 6
    artichoke hearts
  • 1
    diced avocado
  • 1/2 c
    toasted bread cubes
  • 1/2 c
    sliced, good mushrooms

How to Make Mother's Green Salad


  1. Tear and clean lettuce and spinach - put in refrigerator to chill
  2. Toast sesame seeds in pan on stove top until light brown
  3. Cut up avocado and artichoke hearts into med size pieces
  4. Make salad dressing according to package directions
  5. Toast stale bread and cut into bite size croûtons - season to taste with herbs (Italian blend) and garlic salt
  6. Toss all ingredients together when ready to serve. Lettuce will wilt if you do this ahead of time.
  7. Serve on cold plates.
