Makes an ordinary salad taste so good, none will be left in the bowl

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 - iceberg lettuce head
  • 1 cup baby spinach
  • 1 package good seasonings italian dressing
  • 6 - artichoke hearts
  • 1 - diced avocado
  • 1/2 cup toasted bread cubes
  • 1/2 cup sliced, good mushrooms

How To Make mother's green salad

  • Step 1
    Tear and clean lettuce and spinach - put in refrigerator to chill
  • Step 2
    Toast sesame seeds in pan on stove top until light brown
  • Step 3
    Cut up avocado and artichoke hearts into med size pieces
  • Step 4
    Make salad dressing according to package directions
  • Step 5
    Toast stale bread and cut into bite size croûtons - season to taste with herbs (Italian blend) and garlic salt
  • Step 6
    Toss all ingredients together when ready to serve. Lettuce will wilt if you do this ahead of time.
  • Step 7
    Serve on cold plates.
