One of my mom's favorite salads. We make it all the time for company.

  • 1 lb
  • 1 bunch
    bean sprouts
  • 1 can(s)
    water chestnuts
  • 3-4
    hard boiled eggs
  • 6-8 slice
  • 1 c
    canola oil
  • 1/2 c
  • 1/3 c
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 1
    small onion grated to taste

How to Make Mom's Spinach Salad


  1. Cook bacon and chop. Cook eggs, peel and slice. Drain water chestnuts.
  2. Make dressing: Combine oil, sugar, ketchup, salt, vinegar,worsteshire, grated onion in a blender. Make dressing.
  3. In a bowl combine, spinach, bacon, eggs, sprouts, and chestnuts. Pour dressing right before serving. It makes a lot of dressing so use to your preference.
