We make many versions of Layered Lettuce Salad, however, this one was the original recipe we made in Eagle River, and I always wanted some variety of it for my birthday dinner. Easy to put together, easy to transport, and oh so yummy!

Ingredients
- 1 - head lettuce, torn into bite sized pieces
- 1 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 small chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 box frozen peas
- - bacos or crumbled bacon
- 1 cup shredded cheddar
- 1 can water chesnuts (8 oz, sliced saves time)

Step 1Layer vegetables in 9x13. Coat with mayo, sugar, bacon, then cheese. Refrigerate 4 or more hours.
