Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup purple onion, chopped
- 2 bunches green onions, chopped
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 can black eyed peas, drained
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped fine
- 1 - lettuce head, shredded
- 8 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled

Step 1Layer in a clear glass bowl: lettuce, drained black eyed peas, celery, and onion in this order.

Step 2Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, and sugar. Whisk until smooth and the spread over the salad.

Step 3Top with green onions, crumbled bacon, and grated cheese. Refrigerate at least 12 hours before serving. Combine together before serving.
