Layered lettuce salads were my favorite when I chose my birthday meal. The original recipe used cheddar, this one is now my very favorite! Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1/2 - bowl crisp lettuce
- 1/2 - green bell pepper, sliced thin
- 2 stalks celery, sliced thin
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 small onion, sliced thin
- 1 box frozen peas, cooked and drained
- 1 can sliced water chestnuts
- 1/2-1 cup mayo
- 1/2-1 cup sour cream
- - grated swiss cheese
- - grated romano cheese
- - salt and pepper
- - bacos
How To Make layerd lettuce salad (swiss)

Step 1Layer vegetables in order given. Sprinkle with sugar. Mix equal parts mayo and sour cream and spread on top. Mix equal parts cheeses and spread on top, then cover with bacos. Seal and chill at least 12 hours.
