This came from a german restrauant I worked at 35 years ago.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup dried onions
  • 1- 24 ounces sour cream
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1 pound bacon - diced
  • 1 - head of iceburg lettuce

How To Make german wilted salad dressing

  • Step 1
    In a med bowl, mix dried onions , sour cream , and vinegar. Transfer to a container with lid and refrigerate overnight.
  • Step 2
    When ready to make salad, Wash and chop lettuce and put in large serving bowl, add the amount of dressing you like.
  • Step 3
    Dice your half frozen bacon , cook in skillet till brown and crispy. Pour bacon and fat over lettuce, toss and serve warm , enjoy.
