This is one absolutely delicious salad! It's a sweet, tart, crunchy, and savory party for your taste buds! Serves 8 side salads or 4 large mains.Yields approximately one pint of salad dressing.

Ingredients

  • DRESSING:
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons grainy stone ground mustard
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons pancake syrup
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 pinch each salt and pepper
  • SALAD:
  • 1 - romaine lettuce head, washed and torn/cut bite-size
  • 1 large carrot, sliced into thin coins
  • 1 cup cooked turkey, chicken or pork loin, cut bite-size
  • 1 large tart apple, peeled and cored, cut bite-size (not too thick)
  • 1/4 bag dried cranberry and candied pecan salad topper (1/4 c.)

How To Make flavors of fall salad and dressing

  • Mayonnaise, whisk and large measuring cup.
    Step 1
    ln a small bowl or large liquid measuring cup, make the dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, mustard, and oil until smooth.
  • Adding vinegar.
    Step 2
    Gradually whisk in the vinegar.
  • Adding salt and pepper.
    Step 3
    Add remaining dressing ingredients, whisking until well combined.
  • Pouring dressing into jar.
    Step 4
    Cover and refrigerate until needed (or pour into a jar with a tight-fitting lid). Shake well before using. Makes 1 3/4 cups salad dressing.
  • Salad in bowl.
    Step 5
    In a large bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
  • Jar of dressing.
    Step 6
    Add dressing just before serving. Refrigerate any leftover dressing.
