I got this recipe in the mid 1970s in San Antonio, Texas where I took a cooking class with Eva. This has remained a favorite of my for 40 years.

  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 3 Tbsp
    vinegar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • ·
    lettuce
  • ·
    sliced celery
  • ·
    chopped parsley
  • ·
    almonds, slivered
  • ·
    toasted sesame seeds

How to Make Eva's Tossed Green Salad

Step-by-Step

  1. To make the dressing boil the sugar, vinegar and salt. Off heat add the oil and pepper. Allow to cool before dressing the salad.
