Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing Taste-a-Like!
I don't usually use "name brands" but it seems to me that real Campbell's Tomato Soup gives this its characteristic orange color, whereas the generic versions are paler. Sometimes, you just have to "splurge".
- 1 c
- salad oil (blends ok, but not leftover fry oil)
- 3/4 c
- white sugar
- 1 can(s)
- condensed tomato soup (see note above)
- 1/2 c
- white vinegar
- 1/8 tsp
- garlic powder

- 1/4 tsp
How to Make Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing Taste-a-Like!
- 1Whisk together the soup with the vinegar first, then add all the other ingredients s-l-o-w-l-y so it doesn't get curdly looking (still tastes great though!). Chill for 30 minutes if you have time.
- 2You can see what happens if you decide to take a shortcut and blend everything together, like Rebekah did! That's Ok, we ate it anyway! It was a good lesson for her in patience, temperance and self-control.
