crunchy chopped salad
This salad is fast to prepare or may be prepped ahead of time and quickly tossed together just before serving. My family also loves to eat the leftover salad the next day, which is why I always make a double batch.

Ingredients
- DRESSING INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- SALAD INGREDIENTS
- 1 large lettuce head, thinly sliced & cut croswise
- 8 slices bacon, cooked crisp & chopped
- 1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds, toasted
- 6 - green onions, sliced
- 3/4 cup chow mein noodles
How To Make crunchy chopped salad

Step 1In a jar with a tight fitting lid combine oil, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper. Shake well, making sure the sugar is dissolved.

Step 2Combine lettuce, bacon, almonds, sunflower seeds and onion in a large bowl.

Step 3Shake the dressing before adding to the salad and toss well.

Step 4Top with chow mein noodles.
