I just love this recipe for Cobb salad! Don't know where I got this recipe as it is handwritten by me and the ink on the paper is getting faded.

head iceburg lettuce (abt 4 cups)
1 small
head curly endive ( abt 2 1/2 cups)

head romaine lettuce (abt 2 1/2 cups)
1 bunch
watercress (bottom stems removed)

tomatoes , peeled and diced

strips crisp cooked bacon, crumbled
2
whole boneless chicken breasts,boiled, diced
3
hard boiled eggs,chopped into small pieces
1
ripe avocado,peeled,diced just before serving
3/4 c
roquefort blue cheese,crumbled
2 Tbsp
finely chopped chives
dressing:
1/4 c
water
1/4 c
red wine vinegar
1 tsp
sugar
1 tsp
lemon juice
3/4 tsp
black pepper
1/2 tsp
sea salt
3/4 tsp
worcestershire sauce
1 tsp
dijon mustard
1
clove garlic
3/4 c
olive oil, extra virgin

How to Make Cobb Salad

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cut all the lettuce and 1/2 of the watercress in a salad bowl.
  • 2Arrange tomatoes, bacon, chicken, eggs, avocado and cheese in strips on greens.
  • 3Sprinkle the chives over the entire salad and garnish with the remaining watercress.
  • 4TO MAKE THE DRESSING;
  • 5In a medium bowl, blend together all the ingredients except the oil. Add oil and mix well.
  • 6Just before serving, drizzle salad with dressing.
