Ingredients

  • - 1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • - 1/4 cup sour cream
  • - 1 tbsp. pickle relish
  • - 1 tbsp. catsup
  • - 1 tbsp. prepared mustard
  • - 1/4 tsp. sugar
  • - 1/4 tsp. lemon juice
  • - 1/4 tsp. cider vinegar
  • - 1 head iceberg lettuce
  • - 2 medium tomatoes

How To Make classic iceberg salad with thousand island dressing

  • Step 1
    In small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, relish, catsup, mustard, sugar, lemon juice and vinegar. Beat with wire whisk til well blended. Remove core from lettuce; cut lettuce into 6 wedges. Put each wedge on salad plate. Cut each tomato into 6 wedges. Arrange 2 wedges on each plate. Spoon some dressing over each lettuce wedge. Pass remaining dressing around. Makes 6 servings.
