Chinese Chicken Salad

4chicken breasts - boiled, drained, cooled and shredded.
1 largehead of iceburg lettuce, sliced thin
3-6green onions, chopped
1/4 ctoasted sesame seeds
1/2 pkgwonton wrappers
4 Tbspwhite vinegar
1 tspblack pepper
1/2 cvegetable oil
How to Make Chinese Chicken Salad
- Make dressing first.
Dissolve sugar, salt, vinegar and pepper in a small sauce pan over low heat. Remove and let cool. Pour into a container with a lid. Add oil when cool.
- While dressing is cooling, fry wonton wrappers in 2 inches of oil in a small fry pan over medium heat. They will cook quickly so be sure to watch them closely. Remove from oil when they are only slightly brown, they will continue to cook while they cool. Place them on a plate covered in paper towels to absorb excess oil.
In a large bowl, combine, lettuce, green onions, chicken and sesame seeds. When wontons are cooled, place in a large ziplok bag, seal and crush up wontons into bite size pieces. Add to salad.
Shake up dressing so it is combined. Pour on salad, toss and enjoy.
