Ingredients
- 1/2 cup onion, sliced thin
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- salt and pepper
How To Make caramelized onion dressing

Step 1Saute onions and garlic in 1 T of the olive oil until well browned.

Step 2Add brown sugar and stir.

Step 3Add vinegar to deglaze.

Step 4Add rest of the oil and the salt and pepper. Check for balance adding more oil if needed.

Step 5Pour over mixed greens or spinach salad while warm. Bacon is a great addition. Makes about 2 cups.
