I have had this recipe for years and it has revolved throughout my family. It is a favorite to serve for all types of get togethers and gets many praises. It is at the top of the request list of copies at all dinner parties.

  • 10 oz
    mixed baby greens
  • 1 medium
    fennel bulb, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c
    dried cherries
  • 4 oz
    crumbed blue cheese
  • 6 Tbsp
    extra-virgin olive oil, plus more to taste
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    balsamic vinegar, plus more to taste
  • ·
    salt and papper to taste

How to Make Baby Greens/Fennel/Dried Cheeries/Blue Cheese


  1. Place the first four ingredients in a large bowl. When ready to serve the salad, toss with 6 TBS olive oil and a generous sprinkling of salt and papper. Taste, adding more oil, salt or pepper if needed. Add vinegar, toss to coat, adding more, if necessary, to taste. Serve immediately
